Primary responsibilities include oversight of all operations at the BaldwinCity Municipal Pool, employee schedules, money handling, maintenance, training andevaluation of employees, directly supervising 50+ employees. Red Cross Certificationprovided by Baldwin City Recreation Commission at no cost to the employee. Starting at$11.75 per hour.
Assistant Pool Managers
Primary responsibilities include assisting the Manager, oversight of daily operationsand staff, money handling, pool cleanliness and some staff training. Red Cross Certification provided by BaldwinCity Recreation Commission at no cost to the employee. Starting at $10.75 per hour.
Must be at least 15 years of age. Must become certified through Red Cross Lifeguard Training. RedCross certification reimbursed by Baldwin City Recreation Commission after 40 hours worked. Starting at $10 perhour.
Swim Lesson Instructors
Must be at least 16 years of age. Must become certified through Red Cross LifeguardTraining. Red Cross certification on provided by Baldwin City Recreation Commission at no cost to the employee.$12.00 per class.
Must be at least 16 years of age. Responsibilities include food sales at the Baldwin SportsComplex or the Pool. Applicants should possess good math and customer service skills. Starting at $8 per hour.
Must be at least 18 years of age. Work in the evenings, 2 to 3 nights per week, Monday thruSunday. Occasional weekends are required, those hours generally being during the day. Primary responsibilitiesinclude supervising basketball at local Baldwin City schools, soccer, flag football, baseball and softball games at theBaldwin City Sports Complex. General knowledge of rules a plus. Must be able to handle difficult situations and workwell under pressure. Starting at $10.00 per hour.
Soccer / Basketball / Flag Football/ Volleyball Officials
Must be at least 14 years ofage. Primary responsibilities include officiating youth sports games. Soccer and basketballgames are played on the weekends, football and volleyball during the week. Generalknowledge of rules is a must. Uniform provided and applicants must attend mandatorytraining sessions. $10-$16 per game depending on league and sport.
Must be at least 14 years of age. Primary responsibilities include umpiring baseball and/or so ballgames; working 1 to 5 nights a week, some weekends are possible. General knowledge of baseball/so ball rules is amust. Applicants must provide their own uniform and attend a mandatory training session. $15-$25 per gamedepending on league.
Park Maintenance Seasonal
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Must beavailable for some evening and weekend hours. Primary responsibilities include activities such as mowing,landscaping, athletic field preparation, and other park maintenance duties. Starting at $9.00 per hour.
Before School/After School/Summer Camp Counselor
Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be availableearly mornings or after school hours. Summer hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Will workwith young children in a structured environment planning, leading and implementing core and non-core programs.Responsible for the safety of children. $9 per hour.
